A welcome from Pastor Bennett
Welcome to our site. First Baptist Church has worshiped at the corner of Broad and Stacy Streets in Burlington City for 210 years and counting; in this sanctuary for nearly 100 years. Our worship is reverent and traditional but involves a variety of musical styles. Our preaching ministry is expositional and theologically reformed.
Our affiliation is with the American Baptist Churches USA. From our inception, and presently, we have a supporting interest in many missionaries and ministries, international, national and local. Our membership is active in serving the common good with their diverse gifts, and caring for one another compassionately as fellow pilgrims on a not-easy road. But we find the Lord faithful, who alone has the words of eternal life, and rejoice to be a local expression of his body.
You are warmly invited to visit, and, should the Lord so lead, join with us in worshiping and serving humbly, gladly, in the Savior's peace.
